Parts of the Plot:

1. Exposition

The movie starts with Carson (Maja Salvador) and Dio (Paulo Avelino) in a sort of concert or gig. Carson, who was drunk and crying after drinking with Dio, barges inside the home of her friend, Jason Ty (Dominic Roco) which introduces their relationship as very close friends and how they confide with each other. The next scene shows Carson going immediately to Dio's house when he called her about an emergency. It was evident that they were best friends and they also talked about their upcoming graduation which Dio doesn't plan on attending. Carson just found out that Dio actually passed law school without telling her and was planning to follow the foot steps of his family. Later on, Dio proposed to go to La Union for a music festival and forced Carson to come with him while Carson forced Jason Ty to go as well. In Carson and Jason Ty's conversation, they talked about Carson's long hidden feelings for Dio and how she's been hoping for him to love her back for years.

2. Rising Action

The three of them traveled by car going to La Union and arrivied late at night. Carson and Jason Ty decided to drink and once again talked about how much Carson loves Dio and as well as their memories together making her even more sad about it. The following morning, Carson was surprised to see Dio with another girl who introduced herself as Pathy (Jasmin Curtis). The both of them seemed close all of a sudden which made Carson and Jason Ty wonder. At night, they all drank and spent time with each other. When Dio left to get some candy from his car, Pathy confessed that Dio and her apparently dated before and is now trying to mend their relationship.

3. Climax

Carson and Dio took a walk along the beach going back to their room. Dio admitted that he took Carson along to La Union so that he would know if his decision trying to fix things with Pathy was right since no one can understand him better than Carson. When they were back in their room, Dio started to sing the song he was writing. Carson took the guitar off of the hands of Dio and added some more lyrics to the song. In the midst of singing, she suddenly stopped and confessed her feelings for Dio. She admitted that she has loved him for seven years, ever since they met. Carson started to cry so Dio sat beside her and tried to comfort her. It wasn't long before Dio started to kiss Carson and they made out for a while but then Carson stopped and went to the other bed without saying anything.

4. Falling Action

The next day, Carson and Jason Ty ate breakfast together wherein she told Jason Ty that she finally confessed to Dio. Dio and Pathy were together again leaving Carson feeling hurt. Just before Carson's turn to sing in the music festival, Dio apologized to her but Carson said that he didn't have to because it wasn't his fault that he didn't love her. After her gig, Dio, together with Pathy, insisted to give Carson a ride going to the bus stop since she needed to go back home for graduation. Unfortunately, Carson already missed the bus so Dio and Pathy had to give her a ride home. When they arrived at Carson's house without Pathy, Dio said sorry again and Carson said that she was already okay.

5. Denouement

Carson finally got to attend her graduation and went home with a house full of guests celebrating her success. Later that day, Dio texted her and asked to meet since it was his birthday after all. Dio picked up Carson at her house wearing the attire he should've worn for graduation. They went to a place and had one bottle of beer each. At that moment, there were no longer any awkwardness or tension between the two of them. They started to talk and hang out with each other normally, knowing that things are finally about to go back to how they used to be.

Why did you like the film? In what aspect?

I actually did not have any idea if I was going to like the film or not since this was my first time watching it. I got really interested about it since I have a friend who really liked it and said that it wasreally worth the watch. She was right, this film did not disappoint. The plot of it was simple but it was full of emotions and it was nonetheless relatable to what most of the people in my generation is experiencing now. I liked it because it felt real, as if it wasn't just a movie but something that can really happen in real life. I didn't think that they were just acting or they were just actors. I felt all the things they felt and I got carried away myself.
What I also liked about the movie was that it didn't really end with a happy ending. It was one of those few movies that would not let you have the satisfaction of getting what you hoped for. Dio didn't fall in love with Carson, nor was he able to reciprocate what she felt for him. But it was okay, at least their friendship was mended and I guess that's what really matters. It wasn't important if they ended up together or if Dio would realize that he loves Carson too. What's important was that they were able to go back to being best friends despite going through this kind of challenge. Unrequited love could easily ruin any friendship, but they didn't let that happen.
